    Is El Patron still open, we went last Sunday around 7:30 pm and there was a sign that said they were doing maintenance... They were not open during their opening hours. ... I just tried calling and no answer. Can anyone please advise ... They have the BEST and most delicious fish taquitos. Will they be open this Saturday ?

    El Patron in Mira Mesa is a gem! The OMG Fries are a must-try - absolutely loaded and delicious. Their wide range of burritos is impressive, and each one we've tried has been fantastic. Even though it's a quick service restaurant, the staff were still incredibly attentive, checking in to make sure everything was to our liking and even offering to bring extra salsa and sour cream. The service and food quality make El Patron stand out, and it's easily the best Mexican food in Mira Mesa. Highly recommend!

    Updating after a great experience 8 years later. This place has definitely had a remodel since then, and just looks newer all around, with digital menus and all. I took some (10+) family here to experience their first SD Mexican meal. We ordered family style, and took our seats. As the food came out, the sound of chatter from all around the table quickly turned to silence as we dug into Rolled Tacos, Carne Asada Fries, California burritos. This was obviously a whole new world to my family, and they could not have been more satisfied with our meal. The guy working at the front helped us to move the tables together so we could all sit together, and was friendly and patient all around, which was definitely appreciated.

    I recently dined at this Mexican restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is welcoming, with ample seating that ensures a comfortable dining experience without feeling cramped. The salsa bar is great, offering a variety of fresh onions and peppers that places don't always do. The menu is extensive, filled with a wide array of options that cater to every taste, and the late hours are perfect for satisfying those midnight taco cravings. The overall atmosphere, combined with the delicious food and excellent hours, makes this place a standout in town for me.
